1. i thought the spray paint was the most successful project of mine this year. i liked using the xacto knife because it cut easily saving time on the project instead of scissors so you could get details. i used dark colors as the negative in the background and the white as the positive as the structure. the reason i used the dark in the background is so when i added the white it stood at more. the stencil i made was the roman colliseum and i cut out windows and doorways so the you could see the walls. the reason i cut out windows and doors is becuase cutting out the walls would have been a lot more diffucult if possible. the windows and doors werent connected like the walls were. another reason i liked this project the most is because spray paint is easy to use and more common form of art.
2.i feel i grew from this project the most. i chose it because i like being outdoors and i have woods behind my house that i got some inspiration from while doing the sketch for this. for this i liked using the paint and adding value so it could seem more like something you might actually see in real life. the type of snake i used was a waglers pit viper found in the southeast asian rainforest. i mixed brown with different white to get the trees because they would be a little brighter. i mixed the drown with black to get a darker brown to use as soil. to make the snakes color i mixed blue and yellow. once that made green i added white so it would be a lighter color and you couldnt see to much of the blue or yellow.
3. i chose this because i did something like it in middle school and already had knowledge on it. i decided to do a dinosaur because the scales would have nice texture which was important to this project. i also added mountains in the background so it would be nicer than just a dinosaur. i also wanted something at the top of the page so i left some lines that looked like they could be clouds. i chose the green and blue colors becuase they represnt a lot of colors you would see when dinosaurs were around. the green was the color of grass and trees. the blue could be used as the sky or oceans and lakes. other than those colors they probably wasnt much back then so i didnt use any other color.
4. i thought this was the least important project we did all year. i thought this because if you look at the right way it just looks like a regular object and thats not that special. we added color in there so it would look like some color was reflecting off of it. i didnt like drawing it either because we werent going to do anything special with it and i liked the projects where we got to use something besides are sketch books. i didnt really like using the sketch book either. i was hoping that when i signed up for the class we would do more projects oustide in groups or using spray paint. i didnt really like sitting inside and drawing everything.i didnt think this project was special because all we did was make it longer than the actual object and then find a view where you cant tell its longer. i dont feel like this is a fun or good project that should be used.
5. i thought this project reflects my artistic ability the most. i liked it because it was a group project and it was more modern styled art. the type of art i like the most is when its interactive and in public. with this one it seemd like she was inside to fishbowl trying to get out. how i helped with this project is i drew the clownfish part of the fishing powl and i colored a lot of the water. i liked how we had a spot with the tree next to ours so there was some shade to give it the effect of being darker. i liked the fish and octopus becuase it seemed like something you would find underwater. i didnt really like how the penguin was put in because you probably wouldnt find a penguin and octopus near each other.
