for this i used a picture i took while on a vacation to the bahamas. i took the picture while the cruise boat we were on was docking and we saw a little strip of land with some trees was sticking out pretty far into the ocean. lights from the boat were making the water lighter towards the boat and it got darker the farther the water got away from boat.

what i liked about this project is i liked using the clay and painting afterwards and i feel like it turned out really good

for this final piece i liked taking the pictures the most because you could pick any angle you wanted. i thought this was succesful because the color wasnt added on heavily and it looked like the actual game. if we were to do this project again i would probably add more paint in the middle of the bored where there is green but its harder to see. what i learned from this is that paint and color pencils work well together once the paint dries.

1. Describe the process you went through to change your object into the correct perspective to create the drawing. This is when you were in the lab.

we had to make the drawing bigger than the normal object would be and then find a view where the drawing looked regular sized

2. How did distorting and stretching the object allow for you to create a drawing that would look different to the viewer?

it made it seem like the drawing was more realistic if it was seen from the right view

3. What were the most important concepts in the project to make it successful? making sure that you got the right angle for the photo so people couldnt tell it was longer than the actual object

1. Explain how you changed your photo in the lab to create a stencil.

i made the windows the area i cut out so it wouldnt make problems later when using the xacto knife

2. When creating the collage background explain your choices of colors, materials (magazine paper, books pages, etc), and placement. How does it relate to your topic? If no relation discuss general idea.

i used black to cover up all of the newspaper then two other dark colors (blue and purple) so when i added the white it would stand out more
3. Discuss the way positive and negative space was used to create your stencil.
i used dark colors then a lighter color so the positive and negative could stand out more
4. When using the xacto knife, explain the safety procedures, how to use the knife and any challenges you had to overcome while cutting.
we had to cut away from ourselves so we didnt accidently get cut and we had to cut at a angle which was supposed to make it easier

5. How was your experience with the spray paint? Discuss how color choice is important, placement of stencil, and any other concepts you noticed while creating this. i liked this the most because we got to go outside and use the spray paint which gave us a chance to get out of the crowded class room

1. Explain how you changed your photo in the lab to create a stencil.
I cut out the black and made the windows and entrances the space where you would see the spray paint
2. When creating the collage background explain your choices of colors, materials (magazine paper, books pages, etc), and placement. How does it relate to your topic? If no relation discuss general idea.
I used purple blue and pink as the background so you could see a good combination of colors
3. Discuss the way positive and negative space was used to create your stencil.
i cut out the negative space so you could see windows in the picture and the outline of the structure
4. When using the xacto knife, explain the safety procedures, how to use the knife and any challenges you had to overcome while cutting.
you had to cut away from yourself because it was a sharp knife and was dangerous
5. How was your experience with the spray paint? Discuss how color choice is important, placement of stencil, and any other concepts you noticed while creating this. i liked the spray painting part because we got to go outside and i like spray painting the most out of everything we have done so far.
